A pedestrian safety improvement project on State Road A1A from King Street to Castille Drive in downtown St. Augustine will begin in spring 2025. Improvements as part of this contract include traffic signal and sidewalk upgrades, new signage, lighting, pavement markings, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) upgrades. No lane closures are permitted on SR A1A between King Street and Castillo Drive from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. each day of the week for this project. Hinson Electrical was awarded the $1.75 million contract.
