SR 13 Bridge at New Rose Creek Bridge Replacement
Overview

The purpose of the project is to address the structural deficiencies of the SR 13 Bridge at New Rose Creek by replacing the bridge. The proposed typical section will match the existing typical section, containing four, 11 to 13.5-foot travel lanes, a 10.5-foot turn lane in the southbound direction, two 5-foot bicycle lanes, and two 5-foot sidewalks. The existing timber piles supporting the bridge will be replaced with rigid inclusion columns.

Hybrid Public Hearing (Virtual) (Monday, July 29, 2024)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Two invites you to the Hybrid Public Hearing for the SR 13 at New Rose Creek Bridge (#720029) PD&E Study (Financial Management Number: 448853-1-22-01) to discuss the proposed bridge improvements in Duval County, Florida. This meeting serves to inform the public of the proposed alternatives and serves as an official forum providing an opportunity for the public to express their opinions and concerns regarding the project.

For your convenience, there are several options to participate in the public meeting including an in-person option and a virtual/online option. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will receive the same information on the proposed project and all comments received in-person, virtually, or electronically will be given equal consideration.

The virtual meeting information is TBD.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Thomas Redding, PE at (386) 961-7520 at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.
