Construction is underway on a FDOT resurfacing project along 11 miles of SR 47 from U.S. 129 in Trenton to just north of the Santa Fe River. The resurfacing project includes the removal and replacement of the upper layers of asphalt, drainage improvements, cross slope and super elevated curve corrections at various locations throughout the project limits, and driveway rehabilitation at various locations throughout the project limits.
Additionally, the project will widen the turn radiuses at County Road 138 and 38th Place.
Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT standards. Drivers can expect lane closures and flagging operations after 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday as well as any time during the weekend. FDOT will prohibit lane closures in school zones from one hour before school begins until 30 minutes after school begins and from one hour before school ends until 30 minutes after school ends.
FDOT selected Preferred Materials Inc. to complete this $13 million project by fall 2024, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
