Tara Phoenicia is a residential/commercial mixed-use development, which will be constructed on the north side of U.S. 441 approximately ½ mile east of I-75. Tara Phoenicia proposes an access connection to an existing full access median opening that does not meet current FDOT spacing requirements. To meet FDOT spacing requirements, the 149th Terrace median opening will be modified to be a directional median opening (allowing eastbound and westbound left turns but restricting left turns from the access points on either side of U.S. 441), and the median opening to the west of NW 149th Terrace will be closed. These modifications will provide a safer movement by directing traffic to turn right and then make a U-turn at the next median opening. Also, a new right turn lane will be added for one limited access driveway on U.S. 441.
