The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began construction on a 12.4-mile resurfacing project along SR 30 (U.S. 98) from Cabbage Grove to U.S. 19 in Perry.
Pavement resurfacing is crucial to maintaining a roadway’s safety and functionality and is expected to extend the longevity of the road by up to 20 years. The project also includes shoulder and base improvements and incidental construction items such as new highway signage and striping.
Drivers should expect daytime and nighttime flagging operations and lane closures.
FDOT has hired Anderson Columbia Co., Inc., of Lake City, to complete the $8.6 million project.
