Emerson Street (State Road 126) Resurfacing and Median Modification
Overview

This project consists of milling and resurfacing Emerson Street from U.S. 1 to Copper Circle. As part of the project, FDOT is considering installation of a directional median opening and a section of raised median on Emerson Street just east of Philips Highway (U.S. 1). This median modification will improve safety by reducing the incidence of angle and left turn crashes.

Public Meeting (Thursday, April 7, 2022)

The meeting will take place both virtually and in-person at the FDOT Jacksonville Urban Office located at 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204. It will begin with an open house from 4:30 to 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period at 6 p.m.

Participants who are unable to attend the webinar virtually or in-person may listen to the meeting by calling (562) 247-8422 and entering access code 519-704-218. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will be able to view project documents, ask questions and make comments for the public record.

Attendees who complete a speaker’s card will have the opportunity to make an oral statement that will become part of the public record. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place of or in addition to oral statements may do so at the meeting or by sending them to Will Lyons, 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32204 or will.lyons@dot.state.fl.us. Exhibits or statements postmarked on or before April 17, 2022 will become part of the public record.
