The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study of the I-10/I-95 Interchange in Jacksonville. The purpose of the study is to evaluate alternatives that will improve traffic flow through the interchange area. The study limits include I-10 from just east of McDuff Avenue to the I-95 Interchange and I-95 from Forrest Street to Kings Avenue.
Proposed improvements include restriping of travel lanes, the reconfiguration of several ramps and new signage. FDOT is also evaluating features for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as visual appeal, lighting, sound reduction and modification to the areas beneath the Fuller Warren Bridge between College Street and Riverside Avenue.
