A permit-related median modification is being proposed to allow for the construction of Daybreak Market convenience store and gas station at 11470 San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13).
The existing full access median opening, across from the former Golden Corral restaurant site, does not meet current spacing requirements to accommodate new construction. To meet current FDOT spacing requirements the median opening will be modified to a directionalized median opening, allowing southbound right turns only from the site. Cars wanting to access northbound San Jose Boulevard from Daybreak Market will turn right on San Jose Boulevard and make a U-turn at the next median opening. The objective of this proposal is to maintain a safe and efficient traffic flow on San Jose Boulevard.
FDOT is seeking input from property owners who may be impacted by the proposed changes.
