The Florida Department of Transportation has begun a pedestrian safety improvement project on State Road 212 (U.S. 90/Beach Boulevard) at Hodges Boulevard.
A closure of the Hodges Boulevard South right turn lane to Beach Boulevard West is necessary for signal improvements to be completed.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the area and expect minor changes in the coming months. Motorists on Hodges Boulevard South will be able to access Beach Boulevard via a detour.
American Lightning Signalization, LLC. is expected to complete the $1.07 million pedestrian safety improvement project. The improvements will include minor drainage work, new signal heads, sidewalk upgrade and mast arms.
