State Road 116 Resurfacing from Jane Street to Sand Castle Lane
Overview
Resurfacing and roadway improvements along seven miles of State Road 116, from Jane Street at Merrill Road to Sand Castle Lane at Wonderwood Drive, will begin in June 2022. Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is the contractor for the $30 million project, which is scheduled for completion in summer 2024. The improvements consist of roadway milling and resurfacing, base work, drainpipe replacement between Gately and Girvin roads, curb and gutter, pedestrian safety improvements and other incidental construction along State Road 116 (Merrill Road/Ft. Caroline Road/McCormick Road/Mt. Pleasant Road/Wonderwood Drive).

Construction Open House (Thursday, March 31, 2022)

The meeting will take place both virtually and in-person at Fort Caroline Baptist Church, 11428 McCormick Road, Jacksonville, FL 32225. There will be an open house from 5 to 7 p.m.
