Main Street (U.S. 17/S.R. 5) from 12th Street to Winona Drive median and turn lane construction
Overview
The proposed improvements include the construction of new sections of median and turn lanes from 12th Street to Winona Drive along Main Street (State Road 5). To accommodate the proposed 5-lane typical section and to comply with current design standards, 25 of the 40 existing on-street parking spaces will be removed. These proposed changes will enhance traffic flow, improve safety, and reduce rear-end collisions.
