I-95 Widening from I-10 to Beaver Street
Overview

A Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study is currently underway to evaluate alternatives to improve safety, capacity, and traffic operations on I-95. The proposed project will add up to two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction on I95 and includes the Myrtle Avenue Bridge (Bridge No. 720163) deck replacement and rehabilitation. This project is also evaluating intersection and roadway improvements at Church Street, Beaver Street and West Union Street, as well as potential changes in access to and from I-95 ramp terminals.

The Public Hearing will be held Virtually on January 31, 2023, Open House: 5:30-6:00 p.m., Presentation & Public Comment Period: 6:00 p.m. and In-Person on February 2, 2023, Open House: 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Presentation & Public Comment Period: 6:30 p.m.at the FDOT Urban Office Training Center, 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida..

Interested persons may join the virtual hearing, Open House at 5:30 p.m., and formal Presentation and Comment Period at 6:00 p.m. The hearing is a free, live presentation/webinar over the internet. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 2 invites you to the Hybrid Public Kickoff meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to I-95 from I-10 to Beaver Street, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. The Public Kickoff Meeting will be held Virtually on August 2, 2022, at 6-7 p.m. and In-Person on August 4, 2022, at 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the FDOT Jacksonville Urban Office Training Center (see enclosed insert for information to attend these meetings). The purpose of the meeting is to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.
